Service Description:

 The 1:50 000 National Map Series comprises 1912 map sheets and is the largest map scale produced by the NGI providing complete coverage of South Africa, an area of 1 221 000 square kilometers. This dataset has been cleaned and updated through the APOLLO Polish project and is now version 4.

Geoservices is a proprietary protocol from ESRI. ERDAS APOLLO currently implements the Map Service type to aid image serving interoperability with existing ESRI clients.
